His latest interview with The New York Times is fantastic. An excerpt:

Interviewer: You’ve long argued for the decriminalization of marijuana. Do you smoke weed?

Barney Frank: No.

Interviewer: Why not?

Barney Frank: Why do you ask a question, then act surprised when I give an answer? Do you think I lie to people?

Barney Frank: I thought you might explain why you support decriminalizing it but don’t smoke it. 

Barney Frank: Do you think I’ve ever had an abortion?

Remember when his partner was growing weed in the back yard of his getaway cabin and he said he was “not a great outdoorsman” and thus didn’t recognize it?

In December, you were shown on the House floor in a tight blue sweatshirt under a too-small suit jacket. I can’t remember a revealing outfit getting as much attention since Jennifer Lopez wore that green Versace dress. What happened? 
I tore a ligament and a tendon, and I went to work wearing a pullover shirt that I could stick my cast through. When someone on the committee didn’t show up, I had to go to the floor. I thought I’d borrow a jacket, but there were only thin people in my office that day.

You once said, “I’m either going to die fat or hungry.” What’s been your biggest pitfall? 
Any kind of pastries and pies and cakes. For most of my life, I have eaten to deal with stress.
