Eggplant

I experimented with eggplant today. I sliced it into strips, covered the strips in flour, dipped them in egg and fried them. They turned out like latkes. I also bought a lot of fruit to blend into smoothies. Berries always seem so expensive for such little containers.

Excuse me while we creep into “personal blog” territory. The news has been somewhat numbing, lately. Gang rapes across from school yards and deadly mobs of teenagers across from community centers… and then there’s Joe Lieberman.

That joke wasn’t supposed to be so fucking depressing.
